Nicolas Tung is an Orange County-based indie filmmaker who specializes in cinematography, visual effects, drone piloting, and storytelling. Born in the small East-Asian country of Taiwan, he decided from the age of 8 that his future is in the realm of cinema, and he has been keeping the dream alive since then.
After moving to California in 2018, Nicolas began to explore many other creative methods of storytelling through cinematography and screenplay, whether it is through the use of computer-generated imagery (CGI) or by continuing his passion for music composing. Nicolas' films are known for their cinematography reflecting on the cinematic styles of several larger budget films such as 1917 and Inception. Nicolas dreams of filmmaking as his full-time career, he is, therefore, determined to make every shot of every single project that he's a part of look its best.
In his personal life, Nicolas enjoys the favorite pastimes of many of his age, such as playing video games or watching movies, as well as niche hobbies like astrophotography, aerial photography, participation in 48-hour film challenges, and being an owner of two cockatiels, Pudding, and Cola.
