A Moment Apart

My name is Nicolas Tung, and I'm an indie filmmaker from a small East-Asian country of Taiwan, now living in California in the US. I started working with multimedia content from the age of 8, usually in the area of editing a number of my own web videos and composing music at the age of 12. I started working on my skills primarily in the field of cinema in 7th grade from an opportunity given to me by a small student-run film "studio" to participate in their proposed web series. Though the production was ultimately unsuccessful, I learned a lot from the year-long experience working on the production and was able to learn from the failures and carry the skills over to the US when I moved in 2018, where I've made a dozen of films with the film education and a number of enthusiastic individuals willing to work alongside me. I love to explore new methods/technologies that would improve my style of filmmaking, whether how challenging that may be, such as animation and visual effects work.
