Presented by HBO, The New York Latino Film Festival (NYLFF) is widely hailed as the premier Latino event in the country. The festival proudly returns home, Summer 2019!

* Please note festival event dates listed are NOT final. Please follow our social platforms for all updates including dates of the festival.

The New York Latino Film Festival is dedicated to producing culturally relevant and entertaining experiences that build audiences for Latino cinema, support the film community with professional development and foster relationships for Latino talent. The festival is committed to showing the best our rich and diverse community has to offer.

Over the past 16 years, NYLFF has been the setting for many breakout indie and studio releases, serving as a marketing bridge to this targeted, cross-cultural and influential audience. The result is acquisition and box office success.

We are seeking New York, U.S., World or East Coast premieres. Films that have already played in a New York festival will be considered, but our priority is for premieres of any form.

The submission does not have to be about the Latino experience or directed by a Latino. A Latino or person of color however, must be in a lead creative position. i.e. Director, Actors, Producer.

As an indy filmmaker, NYLFF is one of the best festivals I've been a part of. Everything from the programming to the A/V, the panels, all of which were executed with precision and care.

I've also made substantial relationships with fellow filmmakers, the programmers and even the founder himself.

    Well worth your submission fee!

The best festival I've been to. Very organized and fun. They really know how to take care of their filmmakers. The venue, HBO panels and screenings were top notch. Looking forward to coming back again very soon!

This festival is a class act! The staff is so cool, so organized, SO MUCH FUN to be around. The venue this year was amazing, a huge AMC theater in the heart of Times Square and they packed our TWO screenings - TWO! Lots of red carpet interview opportunities, a filmmaker's lounge at the theater where you can network, and amazing panels everyday with top HBO executives at the HBO headquarters. There was such an emphasis placed on building community for the long haul - we loved it - a really fantastic festival.
