I am Neda Zamani, a filmmaker, writer, and visual artist based in Dubai. Born and raised in Shiraz, Iran, I studied computer science and worked in that field until my early thirties. Though my career in technology was fulfilling, my heart was always drawn to the arts. Eventually, I decided to dedicate myself fully to storytelling, writing, and filmmaking.
Fourteen years ago, I migrated to Dubai. This experience shaped my perspective on identity, belonging, and solitude, themes that naturally appear in my work. I focus on the human experience, exploring personal situations, emotions, and relationships, and believe that the most authentic art comes from personal truth.
I began my filmmaking journey with two short mobile films, handling every aspect myself. Since then, I have created several more short mobile films, experimenting with narrative and visual storytelling entirely through my own vision.
My short stories have been published individually, and I have written research-based articles exploring expression and creativity. A collection of my stories is currently under publication. Currently, I am working on a novel, the title of which is yet to be determined, continuing my exploration of memory, identity, and personal experience.
Art, for me, is a way of understanding life and connecting with others. Through storytelling, filmmaking, and painting, I seek to illuminate the intimate, often overlooked aspects of human experience, creating work that is both personal and universally resonant.
