Art, in all its forms, moves people … and film is a powerful tool.

Our film content and related programs encourage community connectivity, facilitate conversation, and provide a positive impact on, and experience for, participants of all ages.

The vision of Nature Now includes year-round programming alongside an annual flagship festival. Participants can expect to see exceptional films & documentaries of multiple genres and thematic content such as adventure, outdoor recreation, regenerative agriculture, conservation initiatives, diversity & inclusion in outdoors spaces, sustainable resources, wildlife management, water quality, visual & cultural arts, public health impacts, and much more. The films vary widely in style and length,

Our programs bring together a vibrant variety of established and emerging filmmakers, documentary producers, artists, outdoor enthusiasts, unexpected adventurers, environmental experts, natural resource managers, community stakeholders and special guests for audience Q&A and panel discussions. We host (and co-host) talks, exhibitions, clinics, workshops and break-out sessions in various locations throughout downtown. Our vision is also to continue creating programs that are unique, educational, engaging, interactive and connective experiences year-round, and throughout the region.


1. Feature films are 40 minutes and longer. Shorts are under 40 minutes, including credits.

2. Film entries may be of any length, from any country and on any subject in keeping with our mission. Films should either be in English or include English subtitles.

3. At this time, we do not accept VR projects.

Submission Guidelines

1. Only complete applications will be considered. This includes full contact information, listing of all directors and producers, film synopsis and specs, hi-res production stills. Film trailers & a Vimeo screener link are encouraged.

2. Entry fees are non-refundable.
