The Native Reel Cinema Festival aims to harness the power
of film to share Native American stories, fostering a broader
dialogue around cultural diversity and respect. Our largest screening is held every year at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, FL, during the Seminole Tribal Fair and Powwow. This event is held in the casino ballrooms with in person screenings and celebrity Meet & Greets. We also have other screening events throughout the year.

Awards & Prizes

Anyone selected will receive a laurel and a certificate from a festival committee.

Rules & Terms

The film must be written and or directed by a Native/Indigenous person, or be about Native/Indigenous culture. If the film is in another language other than english, it must have english subtitles.

FLORIDA PREMIERE POLICY (PLEASE READ):"To better support our community of Indigenous filmmakers, the Native Reel Cinema Festival does NOT require strict South Florida premiere status.If your film is selected for, or screens at, academic, student, or local community events in South Florida during the fall (including October events celebrating Indigenous Peoples' Day), you are still 100% eligible to submit and screen with us in February.Our mission at Native Reel Cinema Festival which has the event at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood is to provide the largest possible platform for your voice. We encourage you to submit to both educational spaces and our red-carpet showcase!"
