Welcome to Nashville International Cinema Awards (formerly known as Santa Barbara International Cinema Awards), a celebration of art for the sake of art. We believe that great art is not limited by social or political restrictions, and that it is important to provide a platform for filmmakers who are willing to push boundaries and challenge the status quo. Our festival is dedicated to showcasing films that are innovative, thought-provoking, and visually stunning, without being constrained by any particular agenda or ideology.

Art for the sake of art is important because it allows filmmakers to express themselves freely and explore new ideas without being restricted by outside pressures or expectations. It allows for a diversity of perspectives and voices to be heard, and it encourages creativity, experimentation, and risk-taking. Art for the sake of art is an essential part of any vibrant cultural landscape, and it is our mission to provide a platform for filmmakers who are committed to creating works of art that will inspire and engage audiences.

I really hoped I could attend this festival in person! Thank you for holding it in a classic theater. I really appreciate your philosophy and for choosing Malorum as best short film!
