Nancy Paradis began her career on the east coast performing with the Washington Ballet, Richmond Ballet and Louisville Ballet Companies. As a soloist and principal company member, she danced roles ranging from classical, neo-classical and modern ballets.
In Los Angeles, Nancy trained and performed in the film, television, commercial and fitness market including the MTV Movie Awards, Crunch Fitness, Fox Fit TV, and NBC news and more
She has taught and choreographed for facilities including U.C. Irvine, UCLA, Loyola Marymount, San Diego State University and guest instructor to the American Ballet Theater Summer Program, Orange Co. School of Performing Arts and the Richmond Ballet. Nancy enjoys teaching her students all levels of ballet and lyrical jazz. Her credits include Edge and Tremaine’s Studio, LA Dance Force, Urban Jamm and Co. Dance. Her classes demand strong technique and performance skills in a positive atmosphere. Using inspiring music and inventive choreography, her classes challenge all levels of dancers.
Currently she is faculty at Loyola Marymount University and Moorpark College and co-director of the concert programs. Nancy worked with the wind ensemble to bring dance and music together for a first-time collaboration, which honored her later father by performing his musical score. She has choreographed with resident music professor Nathan Bowen's original EDM score, and the theater department's summer musical Promises Promises.
Nancy is artistic director of her company L.A. Dance Moves, which is a visionary team of classical to contemporary musicians and dancers who create visual works of the human spirit through concert, live performance and film works. To date, she has created works for Grammy award winning new age composer Peter Kater, multi-instrumentalist David Fertello, cellist Simon Huber, vocalist Kimera Morell and conductor Brendan McMullin.
