Este evento anual, que viene realizándose por siete años consecutivos, es el primer y único festival de cine ambiental realizado en el Ecuador. Debido a la emergencia sanitaria, el festival se llevó a cabo de manera virtual durante dos ediciones. Volvió a la presencialidad en su séptima edición en 2022.
En su octava edición, consolidaremos el regreso del festival a lo presencial, con eventos paralelos de encuentro y discusión alrededor de actuales temáticas ambientales.
Este festival es realizado gracias al apoyo de instituciones gubernamentales, no-gubernamentales y empresas privadas, lo que nos permite ser el único festival de cine con entrada libre a todas las funciones presenciales y virtuales.
Cada año los mejores y más recientes documentales internacionales y nacionales son exhibidos como parte de la programación.
Todas las funciones están acompañadas de conversatorios para profundizar el entendimiento de los diferentes temas ambientales tratados en cada documental; con la información y experiencia de profesores, activistas, cineastas y otros invitados; con esto, se contribuye a la comprensión de los temas en contexto local, nos informamos de la situación actual en nuestra ciudad y el país, además de inspirarnos con acciones que podemos tomar al respecto.

This annual event, which has been held for seven consecutive years, is the first and only environmental film festival held in Ecuador. Due to the health emergency, the festival was held virtually for two editions. It returned to face-to-face in its seventh edition in 2022.
In its eighth edition, we will consolidate the return of the festival to the presential, with parallel events of meeting and discussion around current environmental issues.
This festival is made possible thanks to the support of governmental and non-governmental institutions and private companies, which allows us to be the only film festival with free admission to all on-site and virtual screenings.
Each year the best and most recent international and national documentaries are shown as part of the program.
All screenings are accompanied by discussions to deepen the understanding of the different environmental issues addressed in each documentary; with the information and experience of teachers, activists, filmmakers and other guests; with this, we contribute to the understanding of the issues in local context, we are informed of the current situation in our city and the country, in addition to inspire us with actions we can take in this regard.
