The NY Cat Film Festival celebrates the, mysterious cats who share our world, and their loving relationships with people.
The NY Cat Film Festival is the way for those who admire and are fascinated by cats to make and bring their films in front of like-minded cat lovers. These are not "cat videos" - these are films which have been made with an intention, concept or story to convey something essential about where cats fit into our human world. This festival is a way to honor cats and those who care about them and raise awareness for their needs and qualities while supporting the caregivers in their communities. Tracie did an amazing job putting this festival together. The press leading up to the event was excellent and the screenings played to packed houses! Communications were wonderful and a delightful gift bag for the filmmakers! Most of all, the atmosphere at the festival was joyous all around.

I got to experience this festival from both perspectives--as an audience member and as a filmmaker with a documentary in the program--and it was stellar. Hundreds of people attended the screenings, despite the inclement weather, the selection of films were top-notch, the venue was beautiful, and all other aspects of the festival were treated with meticulous care by Tracie Hotchner. Hats off to you!

Tracie had great communication through the duration of the festival. I was not able to attend the festival in person, however due to being apart of NY Cat Film Festival, my short was mentioned in the NY Times and was contacted from another publication to write an article about my film! Not only did the NY Cat Film Festival have a worthy cause (NYC feral cats) but Tracie did a fantastic PR job. I’m really honored to have been selected for the NY Cat Film Festival and recommend other film makers to submit. Thank you Tracie and NY Cat Film Festival!
