The Australia-based Muslim Film Festival, known as "MFF," is a flagship film awards event organized by Badayel House and is recognized as a premier global celebration of independent Muslim cinema. MFF invites you to enjoy two weekends filled with independent films created by Muslims or that tell stories about Muslims, from filmmakers of all backgrounds, whether Muslim or non-Muslim! The Muslim Film Festival 2025, or "MFF25" will occur in a theatre in Perth, Western Australia, with potential screenings in Melbourne or Sydney and online. Our next edition in 2025 will mark the seventh annual MFF, welcoming feature films, short films, animations, and documentaries, with submissions from local and international creators across the globe.

The festival has always celebrated creativity and innovation; this coming season is no different. From thought-provoking documentaries to heartwarming dramas and edge-of-your-seat thrillers, the selection showcased the diverse artistry of the cinematic world.

The OFFICIAL SELECTION 2024 was more than a collection of films; it was a testament to cinema's power to inspire, challenge, and unite us all.

within ONE WEEK then your film might be DISQUALIFIED.

Films have no religion! we all use moving pictures as a medium to tell a story pass a message or change the world around us to a better place. So MFF is not about religion but about a vast group of people and communities who happen to be followers of the Islamic faith. Thereafter, the major criteria for entry are that films should be either:

* MADE BY MUSLIMS,
* MADE BY NON-MUSLIMS BUT TELLING STORIES ABOUT MUSLIMS,

However, the festival aims to promote the beautiful guidance, ethics and aims (makasad) of Islam as well as the inclusion, tolerance, and friendship, and introduce Muslim society's culture and stories to a wider audience.

Our program will reflect the diversity and opportunities within Muslim communities in the West and all over the world, through fiction, animation, and documentary films and our goal is to show films that the audience would otherwise have not seen and left a lasting impact.

Our festival was founded to support and promote Muslim independent films from all around the world and will continue to do so.

    We were honored to screen NAFADA - AN AUDIO UPRISING at this year's Muslim Film Festival. The festival's vision and commitment to showcasing diverse stories from the Muslim community are truly inspiring. Their support for filmmakers, artists, and those working within the Muslim community is unparalleled. It was encouraging to be part of such an inclusive and forward-thinking event, and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share our film with an engaged and thoughtful audience. I was notified that I was selected, and my movie trailer was posted on their Facebook page; but after that, there was no other word from the festival on how the film was doing, and I didn't see my film posted on any of their "now showing" notifications or showing schedules posted on face book.
