In order to be selected to the competition, the shorts need to be inspired by environmental topics exploring the relationship between humans and nature. Climate change, deforestation, the loss of biodiversity, the uncontrollable expansion of cities are the clear signs of a new era: the Anthropocene, when men change violently the world surrounding them. We are looking for stories, images and ideas that investigate the relationship between humans and nature, its characteristics and its evolution, or imagine possible futures and evolutions of it, being them utopic, real or dystopic.
The Festival Committee will select the films shortlisted to participate to the Festival.
Those that will be selected to the final phase will be informed by the 10th of August 2020.
The submission to the Festival implies the authorization to broadcast on TV or social media 3 minutes of the film for promotional purposes (equal to 10% of the shorths length)
1 - Presentation
• Every director can apply with only one short movie (maximum length 20 minutes).
• The file formats accepted are Full HD with extensions h264, mpeg4, mov.
• We accept submission through platforms such as We Transfer, Vimeo and Youtube
• A picture of the author, alongside 3 screenshots of the short, and a description of the work need to be included in the submission for promotional purposes.
• Every short need to be submitted with English subtitles (.srt format).
• The Submission needs to be sent out to mundishortfilmfestival@gmail.com
2 - Translations
Non-Italian movies will be screened in their original version with subtitles in English and Italian.
The committee will develop at its expenses Italian Subtitles for selected foreign shorts.
All the official documents of the Festival will be published both in English and Italian.
3 - Selection and Screenings
• All the shorts submitted will be evaluated by the Festival Committee
• The Selection committee will select the movies to be included into the Festival Program
• The shorts presented will be stored into the festival’s archive for documentation, promotion and education. In order to facilitate storing, the film could be uploaded onto a digital database.
• 6 to 8 films will be selected for every category.
• The Festival reserves the right to screen the film without special expenses and without informing the owner of the copyright for promotional uses.
4 - The Jury
• The Festival Jury is made of 3 presidents for each category and by a group of volunteers which will side with the President in selecting a winner
• The Jury’s decisions are definitive and irrevocable
• The Jury has to examine all the selected films
• The Members of the Jury have to be in adequate conditions to evaluate the films
• Authors connected to members of the jury cannot take part to the competition
• The Jury will evaluate the films based on their personal criteria, following the rules established in the Jury Regulations
5 - Pirzes
The prizes are diplomas, plates or statuettes
6 - Press Material and Other Material required
The following material needs to be included in the application
• A short description of the film
• 3 screenshots of the film of good quality and clarity for promotional purposes
• A picture of the author and a short bio
• A poster of the film
• A trailer, (if available, at the discretion of the author)
• By signing the submission, the Festival is authorized to use and publish all the materials above for the festival catalogue and for promotional purposes.
• The materials submitted will not be returned
• By signing the submission, the producer or filmmaker accepts all the festival regulations and grants the validity of the information above.
• The submission to the Festival implies the authorization to broadcast on TV or social media 3 minutes of the film for promotional purposes (equal to 10% of the shorths length)
7 - Hospitality
The Festival will encourage participation of authors and guests (journalist, professionals, festival representatives).
8 - Final regulations
All the articles features in the Regulations will be taken into account by the Festival committee, in accordance with their regulations. The Organisers of the festival have the right to decide and resolve cases not included in the above regulations, acting in the best interests for the cinematic art.

Al concorso verranno selezionati i film ispirati alle tematiche ambientali e rapporto tra uomo e natura. I cambiamenti climatici, le deforestazioni, la perdita di biodiversità, l’espansione incontrollata delle città sono i segni tangibili di una nuova epoca: l’Antropocene, in cui l’uomo modifica con violenza l’ambiente intorno a sè, il mondo in cui vive. Cerchiamo storie, immagini ed idee che raccontino il rapporto tra l’uomo e la natura, la sua evoluzione e che ne immaginino futuri prossimi e possibili, utopici, distopici o reali.
La Direzione del Festival selezionerà i film ammessi al Mundi Short Film Festival 2020 a giudizio definitivo.
Coloro che avranno passato la selezione verranno informati entro il 10 Agosto 2020.
L'applicazione al Festival implica automaticamente l'autorizzazione che un massimo di 3 minuti di un estratto del film possa essere trasmesso in TV o Social Media solo per uso promozionale (10% della lunghezza dei cortometraggi)

• Ogni opera deve essere presentata con File sottotitoli .srt in inglese.

2 - Traduzioni
I film stranieri saranno proiettati nella loro versione originale con sottotitoli in italiano.
Il Comitato di direzione svilupperà testi di sottotitolo in italiano per le opere straniere selezionate.
3 - Selezione e proiezioni
• Tutti i film ricevuti che aderiscono alle proposte del festival saranno consegnati al comitato di selezione per la revisione.
Il comitato di selezione sceglie i film che saranno inclusi nel programma del concorso del festival.
• Verranno selezionati dai 6 agli 8 film per ciascuna delle tre categorie del concorso.
• Gli audiovisivi dei film presentati saranno conservati nell'archivio del festival per scopi documentali, educativi, culturali e promozionali. Ai fini di una più facile archiviazione, i film possono anche essere caricati nel database digitale.
• Il Festival si riserva il diritto di mostrare i film in luoghi di proiezione senza spese speciali e senza informare il proprietario del copyright ai fini della promozione delle categorie del festival e del festival stesso.
4 - Giuria
• La giuria del Festival è composta da tre presidenti di giuria per ogni categoria e da un gruppo di volontari che affiancheranno il presidente.
• Le decisioni della giuria sono definitive e irrevocabili.
• La giuria è tenuta a esaminare tutti i film del programma del concorso.
• I membri della giuria devono disporre di condizioni di lavoro adeguate.
• I film che sono in qualche modo collegati ai membri della giuria non possono partecipare al programma del concorso.
• La giuria valuta i film in base ai loro criteri personali, seguendo le regole e i regolamenti della giuria.
5 - I premi
I premi ufficiali del Festival sono diplomi, targhe o statuette.
6 - Materiale per la stampa e altro materiale richiesto
I seguenti materiali devono essere allegati all'applicazione:
• Una sinossi del cortometraggio;
• Almeno 3 schermate di film la cui qualità è adattata alla stampa
• Foto del regista e biografia
• Un poster del film
• Firmando la domanda, il Festival è autorizzato a utilizzare e pubblicare tutti i materiali di cui sopra nel catalogo del Festival, su Internet, nonché ai fini del servizio stampa.
• Un trailer del film, se ne hai uno
• I materiali di selezione non vengono restituiti;
• Firmando la domanda, il produttore o il regista accettano le regole del festival e garantiscono la validità delle informazioni di cui sopra

8 - Regolamento finale
Tutti gli articoli non inclusi nel Regolamento saranno presi in considerazione direttamente dagli organizzatori del festival, in conformità con lo statuto degli organizzatori. Gli organizzatori del Festival hanno il diritto alla discrezione nel decidere e risolvere i casi non inclusi in questo documento, assicurandosi che le loro azioni siano nel migliore interesse per l'arte cinematografica e l'arte in generale.
