Movies Saving Pets Film Festival is a nonprofit organization that was founded for the shared love of animals and cinema. Movies Saving Pets helps animals in need. We play independent short films at a live cinema with all proceeds from the admission fee and concessions benefiting the American Humane Society.

A panel of top film and media professionals will award the top 3 films with cash prizes:

Rules & Terms

We welcome short films of all genres and themes, from comedy and drama to sci-fi and documentary. Your film does NOT need to be about animals – this showcase celebrates storytelling in all its forms.

However, if your film includes recordings of animals, we ask that you include a notarized statement attesting no animals were harmed in the making of the film with your submission.

Run time: Minimum 5 minutes - Maximum 120 minutes
