The Mosaic of Laughter Short Film Festival is a hybrid celebration of comedy as a tool for healing, equity, and social change. Dedicated to highlighting stories that make us laugh while making us think, this festival recognizes that humor has always been a form of resistance, resilience, and revolution.

Launched in recognition of World Laughter Day (May 3, 2026), the Mosaic of Laughter Short Film Festival shines light through the darkness of today’s world. By amplifying comedic voices that tackle health, social justice, equity, mental health, and cultural critique, we provide a platform for stories that matter, stories that spark joy while driving awareness and dialogue.

Comedy is not just entertainment. It is survival. It is activism. It is a reminder that even in heavy times, laughter can be the spark that keeps us moving forward.

Festival Family Overview

The Mind Mosaic Festival Family explores the full emotional spectrum through art, film, and storytelling:

Mind Mosaic Arts Festival (MMAF) – the flagship event celebrating creative expression as a path to healing, featuring multidisciplinary works at the intersection of art and mental health each year on World Mental Health Day

Mosaic of Laughter Film Festival (MLFF) – launched on World Laughter Day- May 3, 2026, uplifting comedy and joy as tools of resilience, connection, and mental wellness.

Mosaic of Horror Film Festival (MOHF) – premiering on October 31, 2026, this one-day hybrid festival dives into fear, absurdity, and psychological tension as reflections of the human condition.

Together, these festivals embody The Change Theatre’s mission: to use storytelling as healing, where laughter, reflection, and even fear become mosaics in the art of being whole.
