We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the MosDocFest International Documentary Film Festival team for selecting Matahari — The Sun of Tiganderket as a finalist in the Best Portrait/Biographical Documentary category at the 2025 edition of the festival.

It is an honor for our film to be recognized alongside other meaningful works in this space. We truly hope MosDocFest continues to grow and to champion independent films, especially those that explore culturally and socially relevant stories.

We also hope this recognition helps the film reach wider audiences and serve as a source of reflection and inspiration.

We are thrilled by the news of winning the Best Cultural Heritage Film award at MosDocuFest! Although we couldn't attend in person, the communication with the organizers was seamless, and the prestige of this award means a great deal for the film's future journey. Highly recommended for all documentary filmmakers dedicated to cultural heritage.
