Do you think your feline companion has the makings of a star? Well, here’s a local chance for you to show everyone what they've got! We will be hosting the first ever Mod-Cat Film Festival in early 2025. We will be hosting submissions for a three months window starting on December 15th, after which we will compile all of them into one of the funniest and cutest things humanly possible! All genres of cat film are welcome, but this will be a family friendly event so approved submissions will be chosen with that in mind.

Submissions will be subject to a small fee to minimize spamming entries, and to make sure we get people truly dedicated to the fun surrounding this event. Any submission that does not meet the criteria we have set in the "rules and terms" will be rejected.

TBD

-Once the event is open for submissions, we will begin a three month screening period to determine the videos that make it into the fest. Entrants will have 30 days from the first showing to submit their videos to be qualified for the festival so that we can spend begin editing and preparing!

-All submissions lengths should be under 3 minutes. Shorter length entries are definitely welcome as well.

-This is a family friendly event. All submissions are expected to keep this in mind. This doesn't mean you can't include well thought out, adult centered comedy. We just ask that it is with all ages attendees and voters in mind!

-This is an inclusive event. Any homo/transphobic, mysognistic, racist, or xenophobic content will be immediately expelled from the competition and the artist will be reported and banned from any future events we hold.

-It should go without saying, but any depictions of actual or realistic looking violence against animals is grounds for immediate expulsion, and potential reporting to the appropriate authorities. This does not include videos of cat baps, cats being silly gooses and falling off of things, or them being the smol terrors they can be at times!

-This will be a judged event over multiple screenings, by an audience of all ages and walks of life! Prizes will be determined at a later date and presented to submissions prior to the first showing.
