The Mobile Animation Film Festival is a live screened event at the Alabama Contemporary Art Center in Mobile, Alabama.

The Mobile Animation Film Festival will have 3 screenings in 2023.
Event dates are:
April 7th, 6:30PM, 2023
June 10th, 1:00PM, 2023
October 13th, 6:30PM, 2023

Each Year it is MAFF's goal to present the best of student, national, and international animation to the community of Mobile, Alabama. The showcase is dedicated to presenting animations in a variety of mediums, genres, and styles.

All rolling entries are automatically entered into the final annual screening in October. In each category a winner will be selected and awarded a custom created glass trophy for the year.

Rules & Terms

QUALIFICATION FOR ENTRIES
-Any frame-by-frame or computer-assisted animated film or video completed within the last 2 years may be entered
-Films must be no more than 10 minutes in length
-The person(s) submitting the film must either be the creator of the film or have express permission from the creator of the film to submit it.
-The creator(s) of the film must have the rights or express permission to use all materials used in the film
- For films originally not in English, please submit a screener with English captions or burnt-in subtitles

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
-Works selected must be available in Quick Time file format, sized at 1920 x 1080 / codec h.264, sound 48hz. These are the SCREENING REQUIREMENTS
-Films can be submitted via FilmFreeway, or by providing us the Dropbox URL for download, or by sending us a link to the film on Vimeo (if password protected you must provide the password).

We require:
-two 1920 x 1080 JPG or PNG or TIFF still images from the film with each submission
-Brief biography of the filmmaker
