This summer, the creative community of Pueblo, Colorado and beyond will present the Rocky Mountain Creative Experience featuring music, film, theater, culinary arts, visual/ digital arts, & health and business, with the goal of empowering those who create!

Presentations of art, workshops, & masterclasses will be held in June, kicking off with the Mindful Awareness Festival. On Friday, June 10, this interactive event will host its Short Film Festival, screening short films of various genres, all with the subject matter of mental health in mind.

Hoping to inspire and educate about the importance of mental health, The Mindful Awareness Short Film Festival hopes to explore critical conversations through visual media. Whatever story you have to share deserves to be seen at this illuminating short film fest, which will culminate in an exciting awards ceremony.

The Mindful Awareness Festival will also showcase Youth Short Film Screenings from YDA (Youth Documentary Academy), youth theater groups presenting art for social justice and awareness. The Encore Players, in collaboration with the Impossible Players, will present “Never Have I Ever”, a play about abuse issues. And The Arts Academy at Pueblo County High School, in collaboration with Colorado Arts and Artist Associates (CAAA), will present “No One Hears Unless You Scream” (a youth suicide prevention play).

The artists and community will also find support for their industry needs and gain personal resilience skills and empowerment through connections with local resources.

The following week of the Rocky Mountain Creative Experience will launch with Creative Empowerment Week, continuing to educate and inspire those through creative and artistic endeavors.
