Midwest Horror Fest celebrating our 5 year anniversary IN SPACE!! Bringing you amazing, thrilling and chilling horror, scifi and grindhouse films from all over the universe! Midwest Horror Fest 2021: In Space is held at Mary Max Cinemas in Logansport, IN Saturday, October 2nd!

Our quest is to celebrate the art of storytelling. We encourage mindfulness, empower artists, and enlighten the community. Midwest Horror Fest Alumni get a lifetime of free admission to the festival. Awards will be given for:

Best feature & Short in each Genre. (Horror, Sci-Fi & Grindhouse)
Best Actor
Best Actress
Best Director
Best Cinematography
Best Special Effects
Most Original Film
Best Animated Film
Best Villain
Best Kill
Best Final Girl

Rules & Terms

All features must be over 45 minutes and all short films must be under 45 minutes. All films must either be in English or contain English subtitles. We are accepting submissions from anywhere in the world!

You, the filmmaker are responsible for the content & consent and can provide proof of ownership or permission to broadcast the materials such as score, soundtrack, that may be included in your film.

    Rebekah and Daniel are a class act! These guys have great communication, do what they say they are gonna do, and that in and of itself is worth a lot. There are many festivals that I wish I could say that about. They're also passionate about genre movies, true fans, and really care and support indie artists. While unfortunately we did not get to travel to the festival because of you-know-why (it's 2020 as of this writing,) everything was above-board, top-notch, and focused on delivering a great experience for genre fans and of course filmmakers. We are honored, so honored, to win Best Animated Horror Movie 2020, especially given the amazing live action horror features we were up against (our movie was animated).
