Michael Havaien is an award-winning filmmaker from Jersey City, NJ, recognized for his work across scripted, unscripted, and branded content. He earned a B.A. in Cinema Studies and Journalism from Hampton University and was a scholarship recipient to NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts film program.
Havaien has built a versatile career as a director, executive producer, consulting EP, supervising producer, senior producer, and line producer. His portfolio includes narrative films, nationally syndicated documentary series, commercial and print campaigns, and digital branded media.
In 2024, Michael inked a production deal with Magenta Light Studios as a writer for film and television, further expanding his influence in the industry. He is also the recipient of multiple IMDb-recognized film festival honors. His music video "I'm Out There" won Best Music Video and Best Performance at the Megaflix Movie Awards, a project he directed, edited, and performed in. His film 2B48 won Best Music Video Cinematography at the New York Cinematography Awards (NYCA), where he served as director, cinematographer, and editor.
