Michael Cappelletti is an innovative screenwriter, filmmaker, and educator whose work challenges audiences to confront uncomfortable truths through compelling visual storytelling. A Denison graduate (Cinema, ‘05) with a concentration in screenwriting, Cappelletti brings over two decades of experience as both an educator and a narrative craftsman to his directorial work.

Throughout his career, Cappelletti has developed a unique perspective on human potential and interpersonal dynamics that deeply informs his filmmaking approach. His recent co-writing credits include the feature films Learning Curve (2024) and Project Claire (2025), both of which exemplify his commitment to authentic, relatable narratives that both rely on and disrupt seemingly conventional genres. He is currently in post-production on his directorial debut, 1-800-HE-HEALS, a short film that he also wrote.
