2025 NEWS FOR SEASON 8
WE ARE OPEN FOR OCT 20 SCREENING. THIS IS A ONE-TIME OPPORTUNITY TO ENTER FOR FREE.
We're sorry for the late notice above, but we have GOOD NEWS. We have decided to make the Oct 20 screening/Fest entirely free. Submit for free now!
WHY do we do it this way? Because in order to get a "public" listing on Film Freeway, we have to list ONE event at a time. So, it's late, but it's not late when you consider we're going to list the next Fest and Screening in a week or so. Please don't give up - email us.
OCTOBER/NOV/DEC 2025 FAN FILM FEST at our church's screening room in Grosse Pointe. Filmmaker's, we'll have our first FAN FILM screening featuring Noncommercial, fan-made Star Trek movies, with (your) Trailers and Shorts in between each one.
A ZERO-Entry-Fee (This event only!) If you miss this window, we will have more screenings and events the rest of the year. When/if this FilmFreeway page indicates an entry fee, then you may ask for a waiver IF you are in need.
Admission to the Live-Event will be free. The Church has Pizza and treats too for a super-reasonable price...I don't know the details -- that's all up to the church, and I don't make a cut or any money on the event.
A SUCCESS STORY...
Alexander Pimentel, Director of "Down River" streamed his feature film on Metro's Connected TV Channel, "Movies Plus" on Amazon Fire TV. After 6 months and 70,000 downloads, Alex shared the news with a Venture capitalist who agreed to finance Alex's next feature. You can watch it on Hulu, it's called The Directive. Read the article about Alex right here on FilmFreeway. Click on the "photos" tab above.
A content's Release Window(s) is not a determining factor for consideration in the festival. Metro aims to encourage filmmakers, rather than looking for methods of exclusion.

Q: WHAT DO WINNERS GET?
As of 2025: Your film screened on the BIG theatrical size screen at our church venue listed herein.
You may be invited to have your movie/show streamed on our noncommercial Roku channel called Star Trek Continued, or Metro Film Riot.
