The beauty about intimacy is that it always occurs in the most random places. And we need more time to cherish these moments. That is what my films try to be, cherished frozen intimacy.
Max Kutschenreuter is a filmmaker and researcher working between Amsterdam and Berlin.
In 2014 he graduated from the Rietveld academy with two short films 'Icarus' and 'Expoterygota', 10 years later he graduated from the Master of Film at the Film academy Amsterdam with his ongoing research: 'In motion we remember to resist'. Looking at ongoing proliferation and subsequent disappearance of queer spaces of home and their interconnected webs of relations. And particularly how that can be mapped in film.
Additionally Max shares an interest for everyday queer stories which speak of the absurdity that life sometimes affords us when we are annonymous. Of which the stories of Wyd? is born. Originally conceived as a series currently it has one iteration which is a short film.
