Maria Alejandra Hernandez is originally from Guayaquil-Ecuador.
She is an Actress, Director, Singer, Screenwriter and Producer.
She is also one of the ambassadors for the Lupus Foundation of America where she helps to raise awareness about the disease in order to find a cure and better treatments for those affected by it.
Maria Alejandra lives in the United States, where she studied and obtained an AS degree in Theater and a BA degree in Media Studies.
She has worked in the Media and Theatre Industry but was forced to stop when she was diagnosed with Lupus. Upon being diagnosed, she began to focus on other areas of her life. She became part of the foundation to give a voice of hope. She and her husband Christopher Hernandez, started a production company called G.C.M. Productions in New York.
Maria Alejandra and her husband Christopher wrote and directed their first short film (a thriller) “Tu Amigo” with a cast comprised of her latino acting students. This was their first time acting. They are working on more projects in English and Spanish. Maria Alejandra has also directed web commercials and she hopes to continue to create and inspire.
