Maria Alejandra Hernandez is an actress, singer, screenwriter, director, teacher and producer.
She is also an ambassador for the Lupus Foundation of America, where she raises awareness in hopes of finding a cure for the disease and better treatments for those affected by it.
Maria lives in the United States, where she studied Theater and Media Studies.
She has been in theatrical plays and worked in the media industry, but had to stop when she was diagnosed with Lupus.
After being diagnosed, she began to focus on other areas of her life. She became part of the foundation to be a voice of hope and to support others living with the disease.
Later, her and her husband, Christopher Hernandez created their own production company called G.C.M. Productions in New York City.
They recently wrote, directed and completed their first short film “Tu Amigo”, who’s cast is compiled of some of her acting students and is their first time on screen.
They plan on creating more projects that bring light to social problems that are often ignored in hopes of creating positive change.
Their motto is “Be light where ever you go.”
