Rules & Terms

Submission Guidelines
1. Submit to just one category.

2. Projects completed after June 2020

3. Projects excepted from anywhere worldwide

5. Projects may have distribution.

6. Manchester International Film Festival is given the right to use an excerpt from all films that have been submitted for the Festival's promotional purposes.

7. Individual or organization submitting the film at this moment warrants that it is legally authorized to submit the film for screening.

8. The submitter shall guarantee and hold harmless Manchester International Film Festival (Palace Theatre) from any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees and costs of the court) which may be incurred because of any claim involving copyright, trademark, publicity, credits and screening, and loss of or damage to the screening films submitted into the film festival.

9. All submission must be playable on Digital Screen from a file. Once accepted your submission must be sent as a downloadable file or drobox file.

    Nice, new fest in Manchester. I’m a little irked about lack of communication above all else and slightly confused. I wasn’t able to make it up from Connecticut to see my film, SPIN, screen. I got a ping from FilmFreeway saying I was an award winner - wonderful - I reached out to ask what the film had won via Instagram and they said Best LGBTQ and that my award would be in the mail the following day. Yay, right? Three months later. No award. No answer to emails or messages on Instagram. Total silence. I’m sure it was a great fest but I’m feeling it’s not worth it from this communication issue and lack of professionalism to just tell me there was a mistake or crazy delay. Sorry to be a bummer!
    **UPDATE** I was contacted by the fest and received my award. They apologized and are still working out kinks on this site and their others. Since they’re brand new I can see how troublesome this can be so I will update my review accordingly. Thank you, everyone!
