The Manchester Independent Film Festival (MIFF) is a celebration of cutting-edge, bold, and creative filmmaking from around the globe. Launched in 2022, MIFF has quickly become a key event in the independent film calendar, providing a platform for emerging and established filmmakers to showcase their work to an engaged and diverse audience.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to amplify the voices of independent filmmakers, offering them a stage to present their unique stories, perspectives, and visions. We believe in the power of film to provoke thought, spark conversations, and connect people across cultures.

Unlike larger festivals, MIFF is dedicated to the world of independent filmmaking, providing a more intimate and supportive environment for filmmakers. Whether you are an emerging artist or a seasoned director, MIFF is committed to showcasing films that challenge conventions, push boundaries, and explore new storytelling approaches.

Alongside screenings, MIFF offers a range of events including industry panels, workshops, and Q&A sessions with filmmakers. Our aim is to create opportunities for filmmakers to connect, collaborate, and learn from each other.
