BASES GENERALES EN ESPAÑOL (ENGLISH BELOW):
1. Solo podrán participar en el festival obras rodadas y producidas en los países del ámbito mediterráneo o países vinculados a las culturas mediterráneas.
a) Se entienden por países del ámbito mediterráneo todos los pertenecientes al litoral del mar Mediterráneo en sentido amplio, considerando Mauritania su extremo meridional–occidental.
b) Se entienden como países vinculados al Mediterráneo por razones históricas, lingüísticas o culturales los siguientes países: Portugal, Andorra, San Marino, Rumanía, Jordania, Mauritania, el Sáhara Occidental y los territorios del Kurdistán.
c) Como caso especial, las obras producidas en los territorios del Kurdistán deberán estar habladas al menos en un 50% en lengua kurda.
2. Años de producción: Las producciones deberán haber sido realizadas en 2021, 2022, 2023.
3. Idiomas: Las obras enviadas deberán estar subtituladas en inglés (con archivo .srt aparte), castellano o catalán.
4. Se abre la convocatoria para las siguientes secciones:
MED FUTURS Cortometraje > 4 minutos
MED FUTURS Cortometraje < 4 minutos
La organización de MED FUTURS determinará los comités de selección y los jurados de cada sección. El jurado se dará a conocer una vez realizada la selección.
5. Fecha límite de inscripción: 2 de noviembre de 2023.
6. Las plataformas de envío de obras serán FilmFreeway o Festhome.
7. Participantes:
a) Solo podrán participar cortos realizados por alumnos de centros educativos hasta nivel universitario (no incluido).
b) El premio del público se establecerá por votación popular en el canal de YouTube del festival y será de 400€ en el caso de cortos de más de 4 min, y de 250 € en los de menos de 4 minutos.
c) Igualmente se establecerán dos premios honoríficos, uno por la defensa de los valores humanos y otro al mejor guion de todas las obras presentadas.
d) Durante el festival, los cortos podrán verse en el canal de YouTube del festival y algunos de ellos presencialmente en el Cinestudio D’Or de València, y en la sala de la Fundación SGAE.
e) La inscripción será gratuita.
f) El premio se elegirá mediante una votación online durante las fechas del festival y se entregará en la ceremonia de clausura de MED FUTURS.
8. Jurado / Comité de selección:
a) La organización de MED FUTURS determinará los comités de selección de cada una de las categorías y los jurados de las mismas.
b) Las decisiones, tanto del Comité de Selección como de los Jurados, serán inapelables.
9. Obras admitidas:
a) La persona física o jurídica que realice la inscripción declara que posee todos los derechos de propiedad intelectual de la obra exhibida en el festival y del material audiovisual incluido en ella (banda sonora, imágenes ajenas. etc). El festival no se hará responsable si esta norma es incumplida.
b) Las películas escogidas no podrán ser retiradas por sus creadores.
c) Los creadores deberán enviar una copia de la obra a través de las plataformas de inscripción junto con un dossier con información de la obra, su equipo creador, y tres imágenes de la película. Enviar subtítulos en inglés, castellano o catalán en un archivo aparte en formato .srt.
d) El festival no se hará cargo de los costes de envío de las películas.
10. Derechos de Exhibición:
a) El festival no se hará responsable de posibles reclamaciones que surjan por incumplimiento de los derechos de autor por parte de la obra.
b) El festival podrá tomar una muestra de las obras presentadas para utilizar en cualquier medio únicamente con la finalidad de su promoción en el marco de MED FUTURS 23 (programa impreso, prensa, Internet, redes sociales, tráiler, etc.)
11. Aceptación de las bases:
La participación en el Festival supone la aceptación de estas bases.

ENGLISH GENERAL RULES:
1. Only films shot and produced in Mediterranean countries or countries linked to Mediterranean cultures are eligible to participate in the festival.
a) Mediterranean countries are all countries belonging to the coastline of the Mediterranean Sea in the broad sense, including Mauritania at its southern-western end.
b) The following countries are considered countries linked to the Mediterranean for historical, linguistic, or cultural reasons: Portugal, Andorra, San Marino, Romania, Jordan, Mauritania, Western Sahara, and the territories of Kurdistan.
c) As a special case, films produced in the territories of Kurdistan must be at least 50% spoken in the Kurdish language.
2. Production date: All productions must have been produced in 2021, 2022, 2023.
3. Languages: The films must be subtitled in English, Spanish, or Catalan.
4. The call for entries is open for the following sections:
MED FUTURS Short film > 4 minutes
MED FUTURS Short film < 4 minutes
The MED FUTURS organization will decide on the selection committees and juries for each section. The jury will be announced once the selection has been made.
5. Submission deadline: November 2nd, 2023.
6. Submissions: Films must be submitted on the FilmFreeway or Festhome platforms.
7. Participants:
a) Short films must be created by students from educational institutions up to university level (university not included).
b) The prize will be awarded by popular vote on the festival's YouTube channel and will be 400 € in the case of short films of more than 4 minutes, and 250 € in the case of short films of less than 4 minutes.
c) There will also be two honorary prizes, one for the promotion of human values and the other for the best script of all the works submitted.
d) During the festival, the short films will be seen on the festival's YouTube channel and a selection will be screened at the movie theatre Cinestudio D'Or de València.
e) Registration is free.
f) The prize will be determined by online voting during the festival and will be presented at the closing ceremony of MED FUTURS.
8. Jury / Selection Committee:
a) The organization of MED FUTURS will establish the selection committees for each section and the juries of the sections.
b) The decisions of both the Selection Committee and the Juries shall be final.
9. Eligible entries:
a) The individual or legal entity making the entry declares that they own all the intellectual property rights of the work exhibited at the festival and of the audiovisual material included in it (soundtrack, images of others. etc). The festival will not be held responsible if this rule is not complied with.
b) Selected films cannot be withdrawn by their producers.
c) The creators must send a copy of the film through the registration platforms along with a dossier with information about the work, its creative team, and three images of the short film. Please send subtitles in English, Spanish, or Catalan in a separate file in .srt format.
d) The festival will not be responsible for the shipping costs of the films.
10. Exhibition Rights:
a) The festival shall not be liable for possible claims arising from copyright infringement by the work.
b) The festival may take a sample of the works submitted for use in any medium solely for the purpose of promotion within the framework of MED FUTURS (printed programme, press, Internet, social networks, trailer, etc.).
11. Acceptance of the rules:
By participating in the Festival, participants accept these terms and conditions.
