SUBMISSION
Online digital submission only via filmfreeway.com
Each submitter declares to be the author or rights owner of the submitted film and to own all literary, dramatic and musical rights guaranteeing LAD against any claims, conflicts and legal action concerning the presentation of the film. The information requested, including photos, is required for electronic and paper, media linked to LAD. This information will also be used on the Internet and LAD's database.
No entry fees are required.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
All films must be original productions and must have been produced within the past three years (after January 2021).
Premiere status is not required.
On the submission form, entrants must provide the following information: film credits, image material, synopsis and director’s filmography, e-mail, address, and a contact phone number.
It is important that you include correct and complete contact information with your submission.
CATEGORIES
You can submit your animated films for one of these categories: pico shorts (duration under 1 minute), and short films (duration under 30 minutes).
You can submit different films for each category.
SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
The jury is made of experts in the film and animation industry.
The selection process is divided into two parts: the pre-selection is made by the jury and will be screened during the summer; final selection screenings will take place during the festival.
Entrants will be notified of the final selection results no later than September 2024, directly via FilmFreeway.
After being notified, films cannot be withdrawn.
FORMATS
Selected submissions for screening must be submitted in one of these formats: Digital Cinema Package (DCP), H.264, ProRes 422 HQ.
Films must be available to download via FilmFreeway, wetransfer, or FTP (for DCP).
SUBTITLES
Films can be submitted in any language.
Films with no English or Italian dialogues must be submitted with English or Italian subtitles.
PROMOTION
We reserve the right to use extracts from submissions for promotional use across all established media, print and digital.
SCREENING
Selected films for screening must be deposited with the festival organizers at least 14 days before the festival begins. Failure to do so may lead to the cancellation of your screening.
The festival will not pay any film screening fees.
