1. Official Selections
Selected films will be showcased during the festival in Los Angeles before an audience of filmmakers, artists, industry professionals, and AI creators.
Official Selection laurels and digital certificates will be awarded to all selected projects.
2. Award Winners
Winners in each category will receive an official festival certificate.
Best Picture will receive a custom-designed festival trophy in recognition of outstanding artistic and technical achievement.
3. AI tools Subscription Prizes
Selected award winners may also receive complimentary subscriptions or premium memberships from our AI platform partners, providing access to leading creative tools that support future filmmaking projects. Prize offerings may vary based on partner sponsorships for each festival edition.

Rules & Terms

Eligibility
The festival accepts films and audiovisual works that incorporate artificial intelligence in any stage of the creative process, including but not limited to writing, storyboarding, image generation, animation, visual effects, editing, sound, music, or production workflows.
Projects from all countries and regions are welcome.
Submission Requirements
Entries must be submitted through the festival's official submission platform before the published deadline.
Films may be in any language. Non-English films must include English subtitles.
Multiple submissions are permitted, but each project requires a separate entry and submission fee.
Originality & Rights
The submitter must own or have obtained all necessary rights, permissions, and licenses for the submitted work, including music, footage, images, trademarks, and any third-party materials.
The festival is not responsible for copyright disputes or legal claims arising from submitted content.
AI Disclosure
While the use of AI is encouraged, entrants should be prepared to describe how AI tools were used during the creative process if requested by the festival.
Selection Process
All submissions are reviewed by the festival programming team and jury.
Jury decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
Screening Rights
Selected films grant the festival a non-exclusive license to screen the work during the festival and to use trailers, stills, posters, and brief excerpts solely for promotional purposes.
Awards
Winners will receive the prizes listed on the festival website. Awards, trophies, certificates, and sponsor prizes are subject to availability and may vary between festival editions.
Notification
Official Selections and Award Winners will be notified via the submission platform and/or email on the announced notification date.
Refund Policy
Submission fees are non-refundable, regardless of selection status, withdrawal, or disqualification.
Disqualification
The festival reserves the right to disqualify any submission containing unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or infringing content, or any project submitted with false or misleading information.
Festival Rights
The Los Angeles AI Film Festival reserves the right to amend festival dates, venue, award categories, screening schedule, and these Rules & Terms if necessary. Any updates will be published through the festival's official channels.
