The Los Angels International Sci-Fi Film Festival is an opportunity for genre filmmakers to showcase their work to the world! Our festival is focused on bringing value, opportunity and overall celebration to the world of sci-fi filmmaking.
Our festival was founded by filmmakers, financiers and producers from the world of genre filmmaking. We're talking sci-fi, neo-noir, thriller, cyberpunk, and oh-so much more! Our community is filled with film industry that is passionate about stories in these and all other sci-fi sub-genres.

The sci-fi film industry can be very tricky to break into in the right ways, but we've made it our goal to build something that connects the creatives and the business-minds alike, to celebrate, showcase and develop together.

The Los Angeles International Sci-Fi Film Festival is a three day festival experience loaded up with the best of the best in the world of independent sci-fi filmmaking! With that, the festival is filled with resources, panels, talks, masterclasses, tools, networking opportunities and more! NOTE: We are open for submissions to our 2024 Festival - But our 2023 festival will be held June 14th, 2023, so if you submitted for this season, keep an eye out in your emails!

Winners in all categories will be awarded and presented at the awards block of this year's festival!

ALL Finalists and Official Selections will be invited to attend the festival and utilize ISAHFF's resources.

Rules & Terms

All entries should be sent via FilmFreeway with a secure online screener.
-Each accepted film must be submitted in the .mp4 or .mov format, preferably.
-By submitting to the festival you confirm that you own the rights of the film, including the rights to the music in the film.
-By submitting to the festival you give consent to the festival programming staff to screen your work in front of the private audience of the International Sci-Fi and Horror Film Festival community.
-There is no minimum running time.
-Films must have been completed on or after Jan 1st, 2019.
-All sci-fi & horror sub-genres are welcome (narrative, animated, experimental, drama, gore, thriller, slasher, etc.)
-Filmmakers may submit multiple entries as long as each film is submitted with its own Entry Form, online screener and paid Entry Fee.
-Submissions Fees are non-refundable
