WELCOME TO LONDON PAFF 2024
London International Pan-African Film Festival (London PAFF) is an annual film event in the city of London that celebrates Pan-African cinema and screens films produced in Africa and its diaspora from all over the world; founded by Ne Kunda Nlaba, Film Producer, Director, Screenwriter, Political Scientist, and Film Professor of Kongo Bizizi Academy, the Pan African Film Institute.

The first edition will take place from 03 to 12 October 2024 mainly at West Norwood Picture House in Norwood, London, United Kingdom.

For the London PAFF 2024, our Country Focus is the Republic of Angola

What is the London PAFF Country Focus Program?

In line with our aims of promoting African cinemas and making the public discover the cinema of each African country and the Diaspora, the London International Pan African Film Festival (London PAFF) committee devotes for each edition a close-up of a chosen African country or its Diaspora called "London PAFF Country Focus" by programming several films on the country and providing for the largest stand and exhibition space for its Arts and Crafts to allow them to sell and promote the cinema and the culture and arts of their country to the London and British public.

The London PAFF Country Focus Program gives Entry Fee Waiver Codes to the London PAFF Country Focus to help Filmmakers of that country submit their films for free and invite them to London to talk about their cinema.

The London PAFF award night will be the most prestigious gala where the jury will award filmmakers, actors, and films in competition in the festival for each edition.
In addition, the jury will also recognize some filmmakers for their lifetime achievements and career in film.
The jury will give awards to films in the following categories: the best short film, best feature film, best documentary, best drama series, best film director, best cinematography, best actor, best actress, etc.

LONDON PAFF accepts films of any genre (drama, comedy, horror, adventure, animation, romance, science fiction, experimental, etc.) made by African filmmakers living in Africa and from all over the world, including Afro descent.
LONDON PAFF accepts features, shorts and web series; narratives and documentaries.
Films made outside of the African continent are welcome as long as the story is about the African community within the diaspora.
We prefer films that depict positive or realistic images.
All submissions must have English subtitles.
We exceptionally view films without English subtitles as our selection team is multilingual but if selected, Filmmakers must submit a version with English subtitles. Selected Filmmakers who have issues producing English subtitles can arrange this with the festival team.

All entries must be received no later than the appropriate entry deadline they were submitted under. Additional entry fees will be required if not received by the appropriate deadline.
Entries received with incomplete information and/or missing Fee Payments will not be considered.
Films submitted in the incorrect Category and/or submitted as a Short Length Film but having a total runtime equal to that of a Feature Length Film will be disqualified from consideration.
All films are screened at cinemas and in DCP format, so Filmmakers are advised to prepare their DCP screener in advance when submitting their films to our film festival. If you are unable to provide the DCP, you can arrange this with our technical team for a fee.
NOTE: ALL SELECTED FILMS CAN'T BE WITHDRAWN.

A very well organised festival with a wide selection of films. The venue was good and the screens projected films in the best manner possible. The closing ceremony was fun as the music band entertained the audience. An overall success.
