Experimental Response Cinema is excited for our 8th Local Filmmaker's Showcase. All Central TX-based makers are welcome to send short-form experimental, avant-garde, weird, and/or non-narrative films and videos. Please submit art made in 2024 or after, with a running time of 15 minutes or less.

We're maintaining our $5 FilmFreeway submission fee to help cover costs.

All makers are warmly invited to attend the showcase on Sept. 17 at Hyperreal Film Club
Free Admission for artists selected for the program
$5 suggested donation, $0 with a student ID

We remain committed to paying artists! Selected showcase artists will be compensated in part by a Nexus Grant of Austin Arts, Culture, Music and Entertainment.

Rules & Terms

Films must be made by a Central Texas Resident. This includes Travis County, Hays County, Comal County, Bexar County, Harris County, and any counties in the Central Texas area. All films must be made in 2024 or after with a running time of 15 minutes or less.
