The Lebanese Film Festival in Latin America - Festival de Cine Libanes (FECIL) accepts Lebanese, Arab and International films. As defined by its categories, the festival also dedicates entries for films directed or produced by Lebanese & Arab filmmakers from Latin America and/or diaspora countries.

FECIL aims to strengthen the bonds between Lebanese & Arabs in Latin America and their cultural roots through cinema; LFF screens Lebanese, Arab & International films, or films produced by Lebanese & Arabs featuring various themes and topics that appeal to the Arab Diaspora in Latin America.

FECIL was launched in Mexico City, and will be moving in other countries in Latin America and aims to eventually reach Lebanese and Arabs everywhere on the continent; mainly in Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, and other.

FECIL program includes: feature and short films, fiction, animation, and documentaries.

The Lebanese Film Festival in Latin America is organized in partnership with Beirut Film Society; and supported by the Lebanese Short Film Center.

Audience Choice Award in both Short Films and Feature Films categories.

Rules and Regulations:

Filmmakers are invited to submit their original work to the Lebanese Film Festival in Latin America, Festival de Cine Libanes (FECIL) for the above listed categories and as per the assigned duration of each category.

1- FILMS PRODUCED WITHIN 2 YEARS FROM THE FESTIVAL DATES ARE ELIGIBLE FOR SUBMISSION.

2- Submission fees are non refundable and non reimbursable under any circumstances; FECIL does not reimburse any submission fees for films who are not selected for the festival program, or who withdrew their submissions at any time.

3- FECIL retains the right to accept or decline any film, for whatever reason, without any explanation.

4- Applicant admits that he/she is authorized to submit the film, being the rights-holder or authorized representative of the film.

5- FECIL receives exhibition copy in QuickTime 1080p HD 8 bit uncompressed or Apple ProRes file or equivalent via a downloadable link.

6- All films must have adequate Spanish subtitles.

7- Screening fees must be declared prior to or upon submission. If a screening fee is only indicated after the official selection has been announced, the Festival retains the right to revoke the film's acceptance.

8- FECIL holds the right to:
• Use the selected films for trailers and publicity usage
• Screen the winning films in other related events, and recommend the winning films to other international film festivals that collaborate with FECIL after the approval of the filmmakers.
