The Laughing Dog Comedy Film Festival is a short film festival in Houston, Texas. Our second event will be a one-day event, with seating capacity of 80. There could be 6 to 8 hours of programming, depending on the amount of official selections.

10% of ticket sales will be donated to a local no-kill shelter.

Rules & Terms

For our second festival, we are accepting submissions that have been completed in the past 5 years. This window may narrow for future events.

There is no premiere requirement.

You must have permission or rights to the music in your films.

We encourage embedded subtitles with non-English submissions.

Comedy (and all comedy subgenres) films no longer than 25 minutes.
