Feature films are over 45 minutes, short films under 45 minutes. However, we do prefer short films to be shorter and features to be over an hour. Not a hard fast rule, just a preference.

Can you come to the festival? We strongly encourage filmmaker attendance to interact with our audience. Showing your work in front of an appreciative, engaged audience is priceless.

International films are encouraged. Please include English subtitles, if needed.

Films must be available for screening during the festival, June 2021.

Student films may be any films made while the filmmaker is a 9-12 student.

We reserve the right to add subtitles for our hearing impaired guests in certain blocks of programming.

You must agree to allow highlights or excerpts of your film (e.g. a trailer) to be placed on the LTFF website and other marketing and promotional purposes. You also agree to allow LTFF to promote the following year's festival with the above excerpts, highlights, and/or trailers. LTFF will never solicit or screen your film outside the promotion of the festival without additional permission. We prefer to show films with filmmakers in attendance for audience Q&A and publicity.

Submit as many entries as you like. Each entry requires its own entry fee.

Enter your film is via FilmFreeway, with an online screener (Vimeo password protected link is recommended). We do not accept hard copy entries or films not entered through FilmFreeway.

The selected works will be exhibited digitally.

You must have obtained all clearances for exhibition and must certify that the work is original and no disputes regarding ownership exist on the film.

We had a wonderful time at the festival! Met some great people and saw some outstanding films! Sorry I had to cut my visit short; I’m recovering from some neck surgery. We are plan to attend again next year.

The Lake Travis Film Festival is exceptionally well-run and is overseen by a friendly and knowledgeable group of staff and volunteers. No detail is left out. It's hard to believe the festival is only in its second year. Look for big things from them in the coming years.

  • This was one of the best "little" fests I've been too. From the communication to the support, the press, parties etc were all great and really well organized. Kat, Carrie and the entire staff was amazing! I can't wait to go back!

  • I've been lucky enough to have my documentary film be in an Official Selection at Lake Travis Film Festival.
Unfortunately, due the Covid regulations in Georgia, I didn't get a chance to go to the festival but the communication from the Festival team was Fantastic. Gracious hosts who really care and love their selections. We had great press opportunities available via Zoom, thank you for it. Truly honoured to be a part of this amazing festival and hope I will have the chance to visit the festival in the future.
I want to say special thanks to Carrie Cates, Artist Services in Lake Travis Film Festival for her amazing and friendly gestures <3

Unfortunately, I was not able to attend due to Coivd and work, but I have to say that their communication was excellent. They also made some great press opportunities available via Zoom. I hope to have another project at LTFF in the future so I can attend in person.
