The Lake Travis Film Festival is an exciting, experiential festival in the beautiful area just west of Austin, Texas.

We showcase filmmakers and screenwriters from around the globe with authenticity, vision, and purpose. The festival connects independent filmmakers and industry professionals with an eager community audience and we work hard to market you and your project to make sure you have attendees at your screenings and social media exposure.

In addition, LTFF offers a master class in screenwriting.

Just west of Austin, the festival is spread out between Bee Cave, Lakeway, and Spicewood, Texas. The area offers natural beauty and an abundance of visitor activities. There are many hotels, restaurants, and locations suited to the screenings, parties, and workshops that will accompany the event.

Feature films are over 45 minutes, short films under 45 minutes. However, we do prefer short films to be shorter and features to be over an hour. Not a hard fast rule, just a preference.

Can you come to the festival? We strongly encourage filmmaker attendance to interact with our audience. Showing your work in front of an appreciative, engaged audience is priceless. You will find an eager fan base in Lake Travis.

International films are encouraged. Please include English subtitles, if needed.

Films must be available for screening during the festival, September 2023 and your submission gives us the right to screen the film.

Student films may be any films made while the filmmaker is a 9-12 student.

We reserve the right to add subtitles for our hearing impaired guests in certain blocks of programming.

You must agree to allow highlights or excerpts of your film (e.g. a trailer) to be placed on the LTFF website and other marketing and promotional purposes. You also agree to allow LTFF to promote the following year's festival with the above excerpts, highlights, and/or trailers. LTFF will never screen your film outside the promotion of the festival without additional permission. We prefer to show films with filmmakers in attendance for audience Q&A and publicity.

Submit as many entries as you like. Each entry requires its own entry fee.

Enter your film is via FilmFreeway, with an online screener (Vimeo password protected link is recommended). We do not accept hard copy entries or films not entered through FilmFreeway.

All entries must be submitted through FilmFreeway by the extended late deadline.

Our adolescent film students had a wonderful experience and were so grateful for the opportunity to be part of LTFF. We also enjoyed the Q&A session after the student film event. The festival was well organized and a wonderful place for everyone to network! Thank you.

Too many festivals cram film after film into their agenda and never give the filmmakers the chance to do what they need most - network. This is a gorgeous little festival that is def going to blow up. Highly recommend!
