Feature films are over 45 minutes, short films under 45 minutes. However, we do prefer short films to be shorter and features to be over an hour. Not a hard fast rule, just a preference.
Can you come to the festival? We strongly encourage filmmaker attendance to interact with our audience. Showing your work in front of an appreciative, engaged audience is priceless. You will find an eager fan base in Lake Travis.
International films are encouraged. Please include English subtitles, if needed.
Films must be available for screening during the festival, September 2023 and your submission gives us the right to screen the film.
Student films may be any films made while the filmmaker is a 9-12 student.
We reserve the right to add subtitles for our hearing impaired guests in certain blocks of programming.
You must agree to allow highlights or excerpts of your film (e.g. a trailer) to be placed on the LTFF website and other marketing and promotional purposes. You also agree to allow LTFF to promote the following year's festival with the above excerpts, highlights, and/or trailers. LTFF will never screen your film outside the promotion of the festival without additional permission. We prefer to show films with filmmakers in attendance for audience Q&A and publicity.
