Lunatik is a non-profit film and arts festival based in Leipzig, Germany.

Its focus lies on short and medium length films and video works of up to 1h of length, but the overall orientation is much broader. Besides our international cross-genre film programme, we intend to

- create a space for exploring the potential of combining film and video art with other forms of artistic expression

- provide a platform for encounters and exchange within the local film / video art scene

- bring together local and international artists

Amongst the planned activity for the second edition in June 2019 are:

live scores & (visualized) live music shows, experimental video games, figure theatre, video installations and open panels for film makers.

We are open for collaborations and participation, so if you have some project that you think could fit with our festival, feel free to contact us.

Submissions are open to international short and medium-length films (1h max.) from every genre including fiction, documentary, experimental, essay films, media art etc.

We will only consider completed movies.

All entries must be in English or contain English subtitles.

If your film will be selected, we will ask you to provide an H.264 screening file of your film, sent via downloadable link.
