LONDON ROCKS (LRIFF), in the true spirit of the city of London, champions independent cinema that isn't afraid to push boundaries. Are you ready to rock London?

LONDON ROCKS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL was established out of a need for a platform for filmmakers to show bold, innovative and authentic films, created within the city of London and internationally. We believe that those making work, regardless of budget and background, should have the opportunity to showcase their films in an inclusive setting with an audience who are looking to participate with something truly new and exciting. Operating outside the confines of mainstream platforms, LONDON ROCKS programmes events in underground spaces in London and aims to showcase a selection of films and year-round special events into the future.

We are interested in fictional and documentary films, made by any means necessary, that challenge the boundaries of cinema in form and subject. In an industry where all too often, marginal voices are swept aside in favour of big budgets and polished productions, we celebrate passionate voices that engage with contemporary issues, compelling stories and experimental narratives.

LONDON ROCKS, along with its sister festivals BRIGHTON ROCKS (established 2017) and LOS ANGELES ROCKS, are young festivals with big ambition – to rank alongside the UK’s best festivals for indie cinema. If your film embodies our ideals and aspirations, we want to help it get the recognition it deserves.

To put a live screening event on during a pandemic is a minor miracle, but that's exactly what James, Andrew and the rest of their team pulled off! Absolutely amazing effort! Says everything you need to know about these guys. Communication was top notch as was everything else. If you're looking for a London based film festival that is cool, fun and ideal for networking, you couldn't ask for anything better than London Rocks. This is a pure gem of a film festival and was I delighted to receive the runner-up award in the best comedy category. I won't hesitate to enter again and I can't recommend this superb festival enough.

LRFF was an amazing experience start to finish. The creators of the festival Andrew and James are truly passionate and committed to this festival and their love for independent cinema is felt throughout the whole process.

I couldn't make it to the live screening of my film "The Back of Our Hands" due to work however they kept me in the loop throughout, sharing pictures and videos with me and made me feel involved and part of the screening.

It was a privilege to have my film screened amongst so much talent and to be part of this community. I'm very excited to see what they do next and hope to be part of this exciting festival on their journey!

LRFF really pulled this festival out of the bag, against such difficult circumstances with coronavirus and lockdowns. In spite of the hurdles, they managed to create an exciting, fun, and rewarding festival with engaging screenings which had an infectious positive energy and full of community spirit. It was a pleasure to have my film screened there among some great works, and to meet other people in the industry. I'm looking forward to LRFF 2021!
