The Lebanese Outdoors Film Festival (LOFF), founded in 2020, is the first official outdoor sports film festival in Lebanon and the Arab world. Rooted in the meeting point between cinema, sports, and nature, LOFF creates a space where stories of movement, endurance, and human connection can be shared freely.
LOFF was created to fill a gap in the regional film landscape by bringing together filmmakers, athletes, and adventurers around stories that inspire, question, and open dialogue. Through film screenings, discussions, and encounters, the festival encourages cultural exchange and meaningful connection across communities and backgrounds.
The festival showcases films that explore physical movement, the relationship between humans and nature, personal and collective transformation. By highlighting outdoor sports and life in natural environments, LOFF also aims to raise awareness about Lebanon’s landscapes, the importance of environmental protection, and the strength of local sports communities.
LOFF is an independent, apolitical, and non-judgmental platform. It is committed to artistic authenticity and freedom of expression, free from advertising and commercial influence. We welcome diverse voices and perspectives, and we strive to create an inclusive space where stories are shared with respect, sensitivity, and openness.
We are currently accepting submissions in the following categories: Mini Shorts (up to 2 minutes), Short Films (2 to 20 minutes), Mid-Length Films (20 to 40 minutes), and Feature Films (over 40 minutes). LOFF accepts only films focused on outdoor sports, nature, and the environment, with no restriction on the year of production.
