LOCO London Comedy Film Festival is back with its usual great line-up of funny films and brilliant events for 2026. At LOCO, we're continuing to work hard to discover, develop, and screen the world's most original comedy films. This time round, we will be back at the historic Ritzy Picturehouse in Brixton, bringing the capital a riotous four days of side-splitting, mind-expanding cinema.

Featuring independent British premieres, comedy shorts, star-studded anniversary screenings, expert panels, workshops and networking events, there is something to delight all comedy aficionados and creators. It may even be where you find your next gang of collaborators.

We are delighted to announce that as of this very minute we are accepting short film submissions for our 2026 festival. LOCO is a BAFTA-qualifying film festival for shorts - which means that all short films which screen at LOCO are now eligible to enter the BAFTA Awards if they have screened at one other festival from Section B. This is the perfect place to get your work in front of an audience and to excite the interest of industry experts. We would love to receive any film that is twenty minutes or less, has never been shown at a LOCO festival before, and can make us laugh.

I had such a great time screening my short film, Angling For Love, at LOCO 2026. The whole programme was fantastic and it was amazing to have the shorts playing in a cinema as iconic as the Ritzy. More than anything, the overall vibes were excellent and you really got a sense of how much the organisers cared about the filmmakers; I was really delighted with the whole experience. Long Live LOCO!

A really fantastic festival. We were delighted to premiere our short ‘Senior Consultant!’ at LOCO 2025. Benedict, Roy, Lily and the whole team are amazing. Friendly, welcoming, thoughtful, fun. They were passionate about every film in the festival. Great venue, great selection of films, excellent Q&As, and a fab closing night party. See you next year! x
