Préambule
L’Animal qui Court est un festival qui aspire à sensibiliser à la cause environnementale, à travers la projection d’œuvres cinématographiques courtes, originales et créatives.

Porté par l’association Les Films du Pangolin, le festival aura lieu du 28 septembre au 04 octobre 2026.
Des projections des films sélectionnés seront prévues auprès des publics scolaires du 28 septembre au 02 octobre 2026.
La sélection de films sera visionnable en accès libre depuis notre site internet du 30 septembre au 04 octobre 2026.
Pour finir, une séance de projection publique aura lieu le 03 octobre à 14h00 à la Maison Écocitoyenne, à Bordeaux.

Le jury récompensera les qualités artistiques et techniques des films à travers un prix de la réalisation et un prix du son.
Un prix coup de cœur du public sera également attribué.

Les conditions d’inscription
Le festival a pour objectif de proposer une sélection de courts métrages d’auteur.e.s centrés sur l’animal, la nature et la protection de l’environnement.

a - L’appel est ouvert à toute fiction, documentaire et film d’animation sur ces thèmes et inférieurs à 26 min. Il écartera les films institutionnels, les reportages télévisés et les clips musicaux.
b - L’appel est ouvert à tous.
c - Un.e participant.e peut proposer plusieurs films mais sera limité à une seule sélection.
d - Les films doivent avoir été produits après le 1er janvier 2021.
e - Les films doivent respecter les espèces sauvages filmées et les espaces naturels. En cas de doute sur ces éléments d’éthique, le jury se réserve le droit de ne pas retenir la participation.
f - Les films non francophones ne sont acceptés que s’ils sont déjà sous-titrés en français.
g - L’association peut, au cas par cas, accepter l’inscription de films en cours de post-production, dès lors qu’une version de travail proche du résultat final peut être visionnée par le comité de sélection au moment de l’inscription. Toutefois, en cas de sélection, une version définitive devra être envoyée aux organisateurs avant le 20 août 2026, sinon sa sélection sera annulée.
h - Le.a participant.e doit garantir posséder l’ensemble des droits et autorisations nécessaires pour l’inscription et la diffusion de son film. La responsabilité de l’association ne pourra être engagée en cas de réclamation par un tiers sur quelque fondement que ce soit.
La procédure d’inscription
L’appel à film est ouvert et gratuit du 01er mai au 01er juillet 2026 sur le site web de l’association (https://www.lesfilmsdupangolin.fr/) via un formulaire à télécharger et sur le site de dépot Filmfreeway (https://filmfreeway.com/LAnimalquiCourt). Il est demandé de ne pas s'inscrire sur les deux sites à la fois. Seules les inscriptions complètes seront acceptées. Un formulaire devra être rempli pour chaque film inscrit avec les éléments suivant :
a - Si le/la postulant.e est mineur.e : une autorisation parentale ou des responsables légaux sur papier libre doit être transmise.
b - Un screenshot du film : l’image doit être directement extraite du film et sans textes ni filtres. Les photographies de tournages ne sont pas acceptées.
En option, l’affiche du film est acceptée. L’envoi est limité à des fichiers au format jpeg ou png de moins de 5 Mo.
c - Le lien de visionnage du film : un lien de visionnage valide doit être précisé sur la fiche d’inscription ou par mail, même si le film n’est pas encore totalement finalisé lors de l’inscription. S’il y a un mot de passe, il devra être indiqué.
L’inscription du ou de plusieurs films induit l’acceptation de ce présent règlement.

L’inscription sera validée par accusé de réception mail une fois tous les éléments reçus et conformes au règlement.

La sélection des films
Le Comité de sélection est constitué par les membres de l’association et de bénévoles invité.e.s par l’association. Il est composé de personnalités ayant une activité dans l’audiovisuel et/ou la protection et l’éducation à l’environnement, ses membres ne participent pas à l’appel à film.

Le Comité visionne tous les films inscrits lors de l’appel à film. Il se réserve le droit de sélectionner les films en compétition ou hors compétition tout en veillant à la diversité des propositions et aux axes définis.

Les décisions du Comité sont communiquées à l’ensemble des inscrit.e.s, que leur film soit sélectionné ou non. Les décisions du Comité sont sans appel et ne peuvent faire l’objet d’une justification personnalisée.

La gestion des copies
Les auteur.e.s sélectionné.e.s devront envoyer leur film au format vidéo fullHD en H.264 d'excellente qualité. Le fichier devra être envoyé prioritairement par un lien de téléchargement (type wetransfer ou vimeo par exemple). S’il est impossible via ce moyen, il sera demandé d’envoyer une clé usb par lettre recommandée. L’envoi et le renvoi de la clé seront à la charge du participant.e. L’association ne pourra être tenue responsable de la perte de la copie.

Un courriel contenant toutes les informations nécessaires sera envoyé à tous les participant.e.s sélectionné.e.s.

Tout film n’ayant pas été reçu dans les temps indiqués se verra supprimé de la sélection.

L’exploitation des films sélectionnés
Les participant.e.s sélectionné.e.s cèdent à l’association Les Films du Pangolin, sans contrepartie et sans limite de temps, les droits de reproduction sur tout support des images envoyées et d’un extrait (d’une minute maximum) de leur films pour des diffusions ou des publications concernant l’association et le festival, dans les différents médias, réseaux sociaux et publications imprimées. Les données fournies peuvent faire l’objet de modifications préalables à leur diffusion (ajout de texte, montage, …).
L'association se réserve le droit de partager les éléments nécessaires à la communication du festival auprès de ses partenaires.

Seront cédés aussi les droits de diffusions des films pour des projections publiques ainsi qu’en streaming pendant la durée du festival. De ce fait aucun droit d’auteur et autre type de rémunération ne pourront être réclamés pour des diffusions publiques pendant la période du festival que ce soit en ou hors compétition.

Aucun dispositif de blocage géographique n’est prévu pour les diffusions en ligne.

L’association Les Films du Pangolin se réserve le droit d’exploiter les films dans la limite de 3 projections par an pour une durée de 5 ans dans le cadre de projections libres tous publics en dehors du festival. Les droits de diffusion sont aussi cédés pour des projections auprès de publics scolaires, aussi pour les 5 années qui suivent l'événement. Dans tous les cas, les réalisateur.rice.s seront prévenus de ces projections avant et/ou après les projections et, au cas par cas, pourront être conviés à présenter leur film, avec possibilité de défraiement.

L’accueil des équipes
Lorsque le festival a une salle pour une séance de projection en présence du public, les artistes sélectionné.e.s pourront être invité.e.s à venir présenter leur film et à participer à des rencontres rediffusées en ligne.

Selon les contraintes techniques, des interviews pourront être réalisées sous forme de podcast et diffusées sur les réseaux sociaux.

Au cas par cas et selon les mesures sanitaires en vigueur à ce moment-là, les réalisateur.ice.s seront invité.e.s à venir parler de leur film lors des projections scolaires.

Selon les besoins, les artistes invité.e.s bénéficieront alors d’un hébergement et d’une prise en charge (partielle ou totale) des frais de déplacement.

La compétition
Le jury est composé de professionnel.le.s de l’audiovisuel et des acteur.rice.s du monde culturel, associatif sensibilisé.e.s aux questions environnementales. Les membres du jury seront présentés avant l’ouverture du festival. Ils ne seront décisionnaires que de deux prix : le prix de la réalisation et le prix du son. Ils ne donneront de prix qu’aux films en compétition. Ces deux prix ne sont pas cumulables.

Prix de la réalisation : Il récompense le film ayant fait preuve d’un travail appuyé sur son traitement et sa technique.
Prix du son : Il récompense le film avec le meilleur travail apporté au son.
Prix coup de cœur du public : Décerné à l'issue d’un vote organisé auprès du public, il récompense le meilleur film selon les spectateurs.

La nature des prix seront communiqués avant, ou au plus tard, pendant le festival.
S’il y avait des ex-aequo pour l’un des prix, les gagnant.e.s devront se partager le prix attribué.

Les cas non prévus
L’association est chargée de régler les cas non prévus au présent règlement et d’accorder des dérogations éventuelles aux dispositions ci-dessus, notamment les articles avec la mention «au cas par cas» ou «sous réserve». En cas de contestation, seul le texte français fait loi. En cas de litige, les tiers concernés ont recours aux tribunaux compétents.

RGPD
Toute candidature de participation au Festival implique l’acceptation sans réserve du présent règlement et de ses possibles modifications d’organisation et de fonctionnement.
Les renseignements fournis par les participants pourront être utilisés dans le cadre du concours film ainsi que la communication avec les partenaires du festival. Les coordonnées mails des participants seront gardées par l’association afin de vous prévenir des futurs actions de l’association (associations, appel à films, etc).

Dans tous les cas, il est rappelé que, conformément aux lois et directives européennes en vigueur et au règlement européen entré en vigueur le 25 mai 2018, relatifs à l’informatique, aux fichiers et aux libertés, à la protection des données à caractère personnel et à la libre circulation de ces données, les participants disposent d’un droit d’opposition, d’accès et de rectification des données les concernant. En conséquence, tout participant bénéficie auprès du Festival L’Animal qui Court d’un droit d’accès, d’interrogation, d’opposition, de rectification et de suppression pour les données les concernant, sur simple demande à l’adresse suivante : lesfilmsdupangolin@gmail.com.

Preamble
L’Animal qui Court is a festival that aspires to raise awareness of the environmental cause, through the screening of short, original and creative cinematographic works.
Created by the association Les Films du Pangolin, the festival takes place from September 28th to October 4th :
From September, 28th to October 2nd : 5 days of screenings of the selection to school audiences
From September 30th to October 4th : 5 days of access to the online selection and organization of meetings and debates with the presence of some directors of the selection by videoconference.
Finally, a public screening will take place on October 3rd at 2:00 PM, at the Maison Ecocitoyenne in Bordeaux.
The jury rewards the artistic and technical qualities of the films through a directing prize and a sound prize. A public favorite prize is also awarded.
Submission terms
The festival aims to offer a selection of short films by authors centered on animals, nature and the protection of the environment.
a - The call is open to any fiction, documentary and animated film on these themes and that last less than 26 min. It will exclude institutional films, television reports and music videos.
b - The call is open to all.
c - A participant can submit several films but will be limited to a single selection.
d - Films must have been produced after January 1, 2021.
e - The films must respect the wild species filmed and the natural spaces. In case of doubt on these ethical elements, the jury reserves the right not to retain the participation.
f - Non-French films are only accepted if they are already subtitled in French.
g - The association may, on a case-by-case basis, accept the registration of films in the process of post-production as soon as a working version close to the final result can be viewed by the selection committee at the time of registration . However, in case of selection, a final version must be sent to the organizers before August 20, 2026 otherwise its selection will be canceled.
h - The participant must guarantee that they have all the rights and authorizations necessary for the registration and distribution of their film. The association cannot be held liable in the event of a claim by a third party on any basis whatsoever.
Submission process
The call for films is open from May 1st to July 1st, 2026on the association's website (https://www.lesfilmsdupangolin.fr/) via a form to download and on the FilmFreeway deposit site (https:/ /filmfreeway.com/LAnimalquiCourt). Registration is free. It is requested not to register on both sites at the same time. Only complete registrations will be accepted. A form must be completed for each film registered with the following elements:
a - If the applicant is a minor: parental authorization or legal guardians on plain paper must be sent.
b - A screenshot of the film: the image must be taken directly from the film and without text or filters. Filming photographs are not accepted.
As an option, the film poster is accepted. Sending is limited to files in jpeg or png format of less than 5 MB.
c - The film viewing link: a valid viewing link must be specified on the registration form or by email, even if the film is not yet fully finalized during registration. If there is a password, it must be indicated.
The registration of one or more films implies acceptance of these rules.
Registration will be validated by acknowledgment of receipt by email once all the elements have been received and comply with the rules.
Films selection
The Selection Committee is made up of members of the association and volunteers invited by the association. It is made up of personalities with an activity in the audiovisual and/or environmental protection and education sectors, its members do not participate in the call for films.
The Committee screens all the films registered during the call for films. It reserves the right to select the films in competition or out of competition while ensuring the diversity of the proposals and the defined axes.
The decisions of the Committee are communicated to all registrants, whether their film is selected or not. The decisions of the Committee are final and cannot be subject to personalized justification.
Files management
Selected authors must send their film in fullHD video format in H.264 of excellent quality. The file must be sent first via a download link (wetransfer or vimeo type for example). If it is impossible via this means, it will be asked to send a USB key by post. The sending and return of the key will be the responsibility of the participant. The association cannot be held responsible for the loss of the copy..
An email containing all the necessary information will be sent to all selected participants.

Any film not received within the specified timeframe will be removed from the selection.

Exploitation of selected films
Selected participants grant Les Films du Pangolin, without compensation and without time limit, the reproduction rights on any medium of the submitted images and an excerpt (maximum one minute) of their films for broadcasts or publications concerning the association and the festival, in various media, social networks, and print publications. The data provided may be modified prior to publication (addition of text, editing, etc.).
The association reserves the right to share the necessary elements for festival promotion with its partners.

The rights to broadcast the films will also be transferred for public screenings as well as for streaming during the duration of the festival. As a result, no copyright and other type of remuneration may be claimed for public broadcasts during the festival period, whether in or out of competition.

No geo-blocking measures are planned for online broadcasts.

The association Les Films du Pangolin reserves the right to exploit the films within the limit of 3 screenings per year for a period of 5 years as part of free screenings for all audiences outside the festival. The broadcasting rights are also sold for screenings with school audiences, also for the 5 years following the event. In any case, the directors will be notified of these screenings and, on a case-by-case basis, may be invited to present their film, with the possibility of reimbursement..

The teams reception
Selected artists may be invited to participate in videoconference meetings with the public. Depending on the technical constraints, interviews may be carried out in the form of a podcast and broadcast on social networks.
On a case-by-case basis and depending on the health measures in effect at the time, directors may be invited to come and talk about their film during school screenings. Depending on the needs, the invited artists will then benefit from accommodation and coverage (partial or total) of travel expenses.

The competition
The jury is made up of audiovisual professionals and actors from the cultural world, associations aware of environmental issues. The members of the jury will be presented before the opening of the festival. They will only decide on two prizes: the directing prize and the sound prize. They will only award prizes to films in competition. These two prizes are not cumulative.
Directing award : It rewards the film that has demonstrated work based on its treatment and technique.
Sound award : It rewards the film with the best sound work.
Audience's favorite award : Awarded following a vote organized by the public, it rewards the best film according to the spectators.

The nature of the awards will be communicated before or at the latest during the festival.
In the event of a tie for any of the prizes, the winners will share the awarded prize.

The unforeseen cases
The association is responsible for settling cases not provided for in these regulations and for granting any derogations from the above provisions, in particular the articles with the mention "case by case" or "subject to conditions". In case of dispute, only the French text is law. In the event of a dispute, the third parties concerned shall have recourse to the competent courts.

GDPR (General Data Protection Rules)
Any application to participate in the Festival implies the unreserved acceptance of these regulations and their possible organizational and operating modifications.
The informations provided by the participants may be used in the context of the film competition as well as communication with the festival partners. The email details of the participants will be kept by the association in order to notify you of future actions of the association (associations, call for films, etc.).
In any case, it is recalled that, in accordance with the European laws and directives in force and the European regulation which entered into force on May 25, 2018, relating to data processing, files and freedoms, the protection of personal data and the free movement of this data, participants have the right to oppose, access and rectify data concerning them.
