Founded by Ewomaoghene Luther-Abegunde, Kingdom Film Festival has fostered excellence and consistency for five years, partnering with global entities like Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) and Africa Creative Market. Our maiden edition in 2022 and 2023 explored "Navigating the Changing Landscape of Film Distribution: The Influence of Christian Films and Emerging Opportunities".

Kingdom Film Festival Submission Criteria

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Theme: Films should align with the festival's theme, which is focused on Christian faith, spirituality, and inspirational content.
2. Genre: Acceptable genres include drama, documentary, animation, and experimental films.
3. Length:
- Short films: no longer than 30 minutes, including credits.
- Smartphone Films: 3 to 10 minutes maximum.
4. Smartphone Films: Films shot exclusively on smartphones are eligible for a special category.
5. Production Date: Films should have been produced within the last two years.
6. Language: Films can be in any language, but English subtitles are required for non-English films.

Submission Requirements:

1. Online Submission: Films should be submitted through the festival's online portal.
2. Film Format: Films should be submitted in HD format (MP4 or MOV).
3. Film Title and Synopsis: A brief title and synopsis of the film should be provided.
4. Director's Bio: A brief bio of the director should be provided.
5. Contact Information: Contact information, including email and phone number, should be provided.

Selection Criteria:

1. Storytelling: The strength and originality of the story.
2. Technical Merit: The technical quality of the film, including cinematography, sound, and editing.
3. Thematic Relevance: The film's alignment with the festival's theme.
4. Impact: The film's potential to inspire, educate, or challenge the audience.

Additional Guidelines:

1. Rights and Permissions: Filmmakers must ensure they have the necessary rights and permissions for music, images, and other copyrighted materials used in their film.
2. Film Classification: Films should be classified according to their content, e.g., G, PG, PG-13, etc.

Important Note:

If your film does not fit into these criteria, kindly do not submit. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring that only films that align with our festival's theme and guidelines are considered for selection.
