Welcome to the 5th Kimolos International Film Festival!

The festival will be held at multiple locations across the island of Kimolos in Greece, inviting the audience to discover visionary filmmakers.

KIFF showcasing a selection of independent feature films and documentaries in every genre, on any topic, from every country around the world. It is also screens environmental films (feature films, documentaries, short films).

Kimolos International Film Festival has screened films from first-time directors who continue their successful career (Manuel de Coco, Alexis Bruchon) and from acclaimed directors (Adilkhan Yerzhanov, Armando Bo, Mahmoud Ghaffari etc).

The Festival also features panel discussions with personalities of the entertainment world.

Many of the official guests that attend the festival are representatives from Cannes Film Festival, Cairo International Film Festival, Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, Avanca International Film Festival, Delhi International Film Festival, International du Film Oriental de Genève etc.

We believe that our film festival is a “must” for everyone related to the cinema industry.

Rules & Terms

In the Golden Tree Award competition they can submit all the feature films & documentaries which were completed after the 1st of January 2021. It is required that the films are a Greek Premiere.

We accept environmental films (feature films, documentaries, short films) from each year. This category is out of competition. In case the film selected will be the Opening Film or the Closing Film of the festival.
