Film Festival "Karlovci Film Festival" is international film festival based in Sremski Karlovci, Serbia.

The festival was created as an idea of young artists and students, mainly of the Novi Sad Academy of Arts, the Department of Audiovisual Media, and with the desire to return cinema to Sremski Karlovci.

Rules & Terms

Karlovci Film Festival is an annual film festival happening every August in Sremski Karlovci, Serbia.

Submissions via FilmFreeway are open for two short official competition selections:
1. Global selection
2. Ex-Yugoslavia selection

2022 submissions will be judged by the notification date which is 31st July 2022

Our global selection is open to anyone but there are some eligibility requirements:

- We accept Experimental, Fiction, Documentary, and Animated Shorts.
- Max film length is 30 minutes
- Films must be produced 24 months preceding festival
- There are no premiere requirements or prior screening restrictions to be eligible
- All films with a non-English title must have English subtitles for festival screening.

Submissions for the 2023 event are open from May 2022 and the final deadline will be 5th July 2023.
The results of the selection will be published no later than July 31st, 2023.

If your film is selected to be screened at the Festival, the following rules apply:
- Films that are accepted can't be withdrawn from Karlovci Film Festival
- Festival can use excerpts from movies in order to promote the festival

    The festival venue is wonderful, it placed at the local viewpoint where you can see whole city of Sremski Karlovci. Amazing and very friendly crew, especially girls from hospitality.
