KIFA is an Axial Films Initiative that provides a platform to showcase independent art-house films from around the world. is a monthly edition that celebrates Independent films of all genres from across the globe. Every submission will be privately screened every month and evaluated by the jury.

Awards & Prizes

WHAT WILL YOU GET AS A FILMMAKER

• All participating films will receive official selections laurels and eCertificates of Official Selection
• All monthly winners will receive physical trophies & certificates sent to them, along with laurel
• Every category will have 3 Honorable Mentions who will receive physical certificates sent to them
• All monthly winners will be felicitated in our yearly physical event held in Kolkata. 
• Participating filmmakers can also avail of our PR campaigns at a discounted rate, if they want to.12. Entry Forms should be filled in clearly.

Rules & Terms

​1. Entry fees Non- Refundable.
2. Film Duration – 01 min to 40 mins.
3. The short film can be of any language or of any genre. All non-English films must have English subtitles.
4. YouTube, Google Drive & Vimeo links are accepted. Make sure that the links are not password protected and don't delete the upload till the date of the award ceremony

5. The decision of the festival committee and jury members will be considered final.
6. All information of the festival will be given on the Facebook page, or an attempt will be made to contact by mail.

7. Selection of Short Films for KIFA will be done by a panel, whose decision will be final. However, Festival authorities reserve the right to accept or reject any film that is likely to offend the sentiments, feelings or sensibilities of any caste, community, religion and section and is likely to promote racism or ill will in the society and for any circumstances festival committee will not be answerable for such decision to any person(s), or company or organization.

9. Cost of the courier charge for the trophies & physical certificates of the monthly winners and honorable mentions will be borne by KIFA. 

10. Films can be submitted through Google form or FilmFreeway. Please fill up the Form properly. The entry will not be accepted without proper filled up the Declaration Portion.
11. Entry forms with incorrect/inadequate/illegible/ambiguous particulars will not be considered. The festival committee reserves the right to accept or refuse any film without assigning any reason whatsoever.
12. Entry Forms should be filled in clearly. Press materials i.e. synopsis (60 words), cast, credit, directors filmography etc. can be sent in separate word file format by email.
