The Kosciuszko Foundation DC Polish Film Festival is an exciting event held annually in the nation's capital. The event this year will show 10 feature films and 10 shorts over 5 days, along with events, panels, film stars/directors, and other guests. In a somewhat unusual format, we present each feature preceded by one short film so that the shorts are viewed by larger audiences and receive the attention they deserve. There is also an opening Gala celebration to which our guests, radio and even Polish TV are invited. Note also that our Jury is completely independent and includes recognized persons related to the world of film. Last year's jury was chaired by Polish Filmmaker, Jan Komasa. Our festival will feature new films that showed at the 49th Gdynia Polish Film Festival as well as other films that we believe will be of interest to our audience. Agnieszka Holland has agreed to be our festival's Patron.

The Festival Jury awards the following prizes:
Best Feature Film
Best Short Film
Best Director, Feature Film
Best Actor, Feature Film
Best Actress, Feature Film
Audience Awards are also given for Best Feature Film and Best Short Film
Other Awards may be announced at a later date.
All awards are announced at a Closing Ceremony after the Festival's final film on Sunday, March 9,
