Mit dem Fokus auf Friaul-Julisch Venetien (Italien), Kärnten (Österreich) und Slowenien bildet das K3 Film Festival das vielfältige Filmschaffen dieser Regionen ab. Der Branchentreff fördert und ermöglicht Kooperationen, will aber auch die Vorteile und Schönheit dieses Gebietes der internationalen Filmwirtschaft näherbringen. Brücken bauen und Grenzen überwinden, sind neben der Entdeckung und Förderung neuer Talente, die zentralen Anliegen dieses Festivals, welches eine direkte Erfahrung unterschiedlicher Kulturen und einen internationalen Treffpunkt im familiären Rahmen ermöglicht.

With the geographic focus on Friuli-Venezia Giulia (Italy), Carinthia (Austria) and Slovenia the K3 Film Festival offers a unique insight in the film-making of these regions. The industry meeting is aiming to deepen and establish cooperation, next to presenting the advantages and beauty of this area to the international cinematographic sector. Building bridges and crossing borders, finding and pushing new talents are the key objectives of the festival, that offers a lively experience of diverse cultures and a truly international meeting point.

K3 Short Film Award € 1,500.-
K3 Short Film Audience Award € 800.-

K3 Feature Film Award € 5,000.-
The prize money includes € 1,000 in kind from CinePostproduction.

Rules & Terms

ATTENTION! Before the synopsis of the film, it must be stated what is the connection to the region (director - place of birth, residency or filming location or support by a local institution). Otherwise the entry will not be watched.
1. Works must have been finished after 01.01.2024 or it must be a world premiere.
2. Final screening copies must be subtitled in English.
3. Once the entry is submitted participation cannot be withdrawn.

    K3 is what every film festival should be. Definitely one of the best experiences I've had so far. The atmosphere was amazing, the participation by local moviegoers amazing, lots of talks outside the screening rooms, a lot of attention put to the filmmakers in the Q&As. The film and short film selection was really, really good. The audience award was also great as it included a real and passionate talk among the audience members. And one of the very few festivals that paid accomodation. I can't stress enough how good this festival is. Highly reccomended.
