Hello high-school filmmakers, and welcome to the Jesuit Dallas Stage & Film program's Short Film Festival!

The Jesuit Dallas Short Film Festival is an event for all high school filmmakers to showcase their work, network with other creatives, and celebrate the arts. This is our tenth annual festival, but the first year we're opening submissions to students outside of our school community.

Accepting submissions in the following categories:
- Micro-Short Film (Under 5 minutes)
- Narrative Short Film
- Documentary Short Film
- Original Short Screenplay (15 page limit)
- Adapted Short Screenplay (15 page limit)

The festival will be held at Jesuit Dallas's Melsheimer Family Theatre on May 14.

Jury awards can be earned in the following competitive categories:
- Best Micro-Short
- Best Narrative Short
- Best Documentary Short
- Best Performance in a Narrative or Micro-Short
- Best Cinematography
- Best Editing
- Best Original Short Screenplay
- Best Adapted Short Screenplay
- Jesuit MAGIS Award

All screened films are eligible for the Audience Award, voted on by the audience at the conclusion of the night's screenings.

Award prizes vary.

- Must be currently enrolled in 9-12th grade or equivalent program, graduating in 2026 or later.
- Films or scripts that exceed the outlined time or page limits will not be considered. The film's total run time, including credits, must not exceed 10 minutes.
- Movies that contain nudity, gratuitous and/or graphic violence, or excessive profanity will not be considered.
- Scene selects will not be considered.
- Submitted works must be original, not plagiarized or written using AI. No AI-generated submissions will be considered.
- Official selections will be decided by May 7. Filmmakers selected will receive free admission to the event for themselves and two guests.
