I am a Czech/Scottish writer/director based in London, and a recent graduate of Screen Academy Scotland with two short film scripts, ‘10 Pineapples’ and ‘Keith & Kenna’, produced during my studies. My scripts have been in official selections at the International Film Festival of Wales and Manchester Lift-Off Film Festival, quarterfinalists at the ScreenCraft TV Pilot Script Competition and ScreenCraft Sci-Fi & Fantasy Screenwriting Competition and I have also received a honourable mention from Finish Line Script Competition. I was shortlisted for the Well Tempered Production’s Development Lab in 2021 and Edinburgh TV Festival’s The Network in 2022. My directorial debut, a short film titled ‘Rabbit’, is currently on the festival circuit. Last year, my script ‘Fires Elsewhere’ was selected for the Messy Collective’s Overexposed: Live Read event, and I was one of six screenwriters chosen for the International ELBE DOCK Film Festival's Film Inn Story Editing Workshop, guided by industry mentors Anne Gensior and Gaia Meucci-Astley. I am currently participating in the Boosting Impact: From Fact to Fiction Emerging Writers programme spearheaded by the European Writers Club, La Cité Européenne des Scénaristes and Le Groupe Ouest and I’m also an alumni of the Torino Film Lab Extended - Film 2024 programme. With a focus on historically marginalised groups, my films explore community, identity, escapism, and disobedience through the lens of LGBTQIA+ folk, neurodivergence, and immigrant experience.
