*Please note that the selected films will be shown to schoolchildren. Please don't send films made for adults*

The Japan Curry is a Japan-lovers' community, based in Kolkata, India. We aim to bridge the gap between Japan and India and for the same, we regularly make content, organise events and have worked on several projects with the Consulate-General of Japan in Kolkata for the promotion of Japanese culture in Kolkata.

We want to exhibit short/feature-length films made by the Japanese people which showcase aesthetic and technological innovation. In recent times, a number of young Japanese filmmakers have made outstanding award-winning films braving the lockdown.

This time we want to screen films in various schools in our city. We want to expose young children of our city to Japanese cinema made by amateurs and experts in Japan.

The films that are selected will become a part of our "Official Selection". These films will be finally screened at the event. The films that are a part of our "Official Selection" can display the relevant laurel from FilmFreeway. Additionally, we will be sending letters of appreciation to the filmmakers congratulating them for sending their films.
